NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION (NSF) FELLOWSHIPSAward Description: Three year graduate research fellowship in science, math and engineering, for study leading to research-based masters or doctoral degrees - Awards are $21,500 stipend plus $10,500 cost-of-education allowance for three years. Eligibility: Current senior or first year graduate student; should have research experience and excellent academic record; U.S. citizen, resident alien or U.S. national. USA TODAY'S COLLEGE ACADEMIC TEAMAward Description: Honors 60 undergraduates, the top 20 of whom will have their photographs published and accomplishments noted in a two-page color spread in USA TODAY in February and receive a $2,500 cash award. USA TODAY is seeking students who excel not only in scholarship but also in leadership roles on and off campus. CARNEGIE ENDOWMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL PEACE JUNIOR FELLOWS PROGRAMAward Description: Will provide an opportunity for 8-10 students who desire careers in international affairs to have a substantive one-year working experience in Washington D.C. Will provide a monthly salary of $2,500, medical, dental, and life insurance benefits, and vacation leave. JAMES MADISON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Award Description: The Madison Fellowship supports future teachers for one or two years of graduate study leading to a master's degree in American history or political science, or in education with a concentration in a related field.
