The Preapplication Process
The following is the preapplication process for Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell and Gates-Cambridge scholarships.
1. Attend a scholarship information session and pick up preapplication materials
2. Turn in preapplications to 35 Park Place by 5:00 p.m. EST on due date
3. Meet with screening committee
4. Meet with Ann Brown to discuss next steps of process, such as:
  • Determining the award to apply for and creating a detailed timeline
  • Researching the programs to decide which are best suited to their candidacy
  • Contacting faculty to aid in research projects
  • Contacting people for letters of recommendation
  • Reviewing application materials with a committee for feedback
  • Constructing application with help from faculty, staff, ONCA (summer)
  • Completing application and submitting all required materials
  • Submitting!
